I FEEL
LOVE
Donna
Summer
"I Feel Love" was an imagining of how music would sound in the future. Donna Summer's 1977 'I Remember Yesterday' LP looked back on the past and present. "I Feel Love" previewed the future. Producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte took a song they had co-written with Summer and unleashed electronica. The result was a futuristic aural delight that sounded like no song ever had. Until then, disco had featured orchestras. On this innovative disc, the synthesizer provided the sonic brilliance. Summer's sensual vocal blended with the relentless pulsating bass and sequencer. This was not just a revolutionary disco classic, it has influenced almost every dance trend that has followed in its wake.
