RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES
Elton and Bernie Taupin wrote songs for a musical based on Anne Rice's "The Vampire Chronicles". "Right Before My Eyes" is a moving love song from the underappreciated production that opened on Broadway in 2006. An official release of this song would be wonderful.

CANDLE IN THE WIND 1997
There wasn't a person unmoved when Elton farewelled his dear friend Princess Diana at her funeral in Westminster Abbey with a reworked version of "Candle In The Wind". The televised event was watched by millions. "Candle In The Wind 1997" was later released as a single that dominated charts around the world for months.

In 1991, a live recording of George Michael performing "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" as a duet with Elton reached #1 in America, Britain, parts of Europe and Canada.

THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR
Boasting a stellar combo that included Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and Elton, "That's What Friends Are For" helped reduce the fear and discrimination surrounding HIV / A.I.D.S., raising funds in the process. The collaboration won the Song of the Year Grammy and topped the US chart in 1985.

ALONE AGAIN (NATURALLY)
In 2005, Elton teamed up with The Pet Shop Boys to record a remake of Gilbert O'Sullivan's 1970s #1 hit "Alone Again (Naturally)".

Italian tenor Alessandro Safina performed a duet remake of Elton's breakthrough single "Your Song" which was issued as a charity disc in 2002.

Eminem produced the posthumous release "Ghetto Gospel" credited to Tupac Shakur. It features a sample of Elton's "Indian Sunset" from his 1971 'Madman Across The Water' album. 2Pac's hit reached #1 in the UK and Australia.

STAND BY YOUR MAN
Country legend Tammy Wynette died in 1998. A tribute album was compiled and issued a few months later. Elton performed a cover of her signature song "Stand By Your Man" which opens the album.

Elton handed over masters of his 70s catalogue to Australian dance music duo Pnau. They remixed the material to recreate new songs on the 2012 'Good Morning To The Night' album. "Sad" contains samples from songs that include "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word", "Crazy Water" and "Curtains".

TEARDROPS
Elton's 1993 'Duets' album paired the pop star with a wide range of musicians. His duet with K.D. Lang was a remake of the Womack & Womack hit "Teardrops".
