THE TOP
EUROVISION SONGS
THAT FAILED TO QUALIFY
AT THE SEMI-FINALS
As more countries wished to
participate in the Eurovision Song
Contest, Semi-Finals became necessary by 1993 in order to limit the duration of
the Grand Final. This countdown looks back on 45 culled – but worthy- entries
that failed to progress from a Semi-Final and therefore missed out on competing
in the Grand Final:

STOP
OMAR NABER
2005 SLOVENIA
Only 10 songs qualified during the sole Semi-Final held in Ukraine in 2005. Omar Naber's Slovenian entry "Stop" finished 12th out of 25 countries. He will get the chance to improve on this result in 2017. Naber will be representing Slovenia again this year. Ironically, he will be performing again in Kiev. His song this year is entitled "On My Way".
