From New York’s Broadway and London’s West End to stages across the globe, Caffè Lattè has compiled a list of 100 of the best songs from stage shows. These are all songs created specifically for the stage productions and not theatrical versions of movies or jukebox musicals (eg. “The Lion King”, “Saturday Night Fever” or “Mamma Mia!” and “Jersey Boys”). They’ve touched us or made us cry and some have had us up on our feet dancing in the aisles.

Pippin

This Stephen Schwartz musical premiered on Broadway in 1972. The show scooped up 5 Tony Awards. “Pippin” helped elevate the status of its director and choreographer Bob Fosse.
