THE TOP 100 SONGS FROM MUSICALS. (#17). More: tomorrow.
Caffè Lattè presents:
THE
TOP 100 SONGS
FROM
MUSICALS
🎭
From New York’s Broadway and London’s West End to stages across the globe, Caffè Lattè has compiled a list of 100 of the best songs from stage shows. These are all songs created specifically for the stage productions and not theatrical versions of movies or jukebox musicals (eg. “The Lion King”, “Saturday Night Fever” or “Mamma Mia!” and “Jersey Boys”). They’ve touched us or made us cry and some have had us up on our feet dancing in the aisles.

Funny Girl
Barbra Streisand was nominated for her role as Fanny Brice in the original Broadway production of “Funny Girl”. She lost to Carol Channing who portrayed Dolly Levi in “Hello, Dolly!”. When the former was made into a film, Streisand shared the Best Actress Academy Award with Katherine Hepburn. She later starred as Dolly Levi in the screen adaptation of “Hello, Dolly!”.
