THE TOP 100 SONGS FROM MUSICALS. (#32). More: tomorrow.
Caffè Lattè presents:
THE
TOP 100 SONGS
FROM
MUSICALS
🎭
From New York’s Broadway and London’s West End to stages across the globe, Caffè Lattè has compiled a list of 100 of the best songs from stage shows. These are all songs created specifically for the stage productions and not theatrical versions of movies or jukebox musicals (eg. “The Lion King”, “Saturday Night Fever” or “Mamma Mia!” and “Jersey Boys”). They’ve touched us or made us cry and some have had us up on our feet dancing in the aisles.

Cabaret
Sally Bowles sings this optimistic song as she yearns for love in the musical created by John Kander and Fred Ebb. The show opened on Broadway in 1966. Joel Grey was in the original cast and reprised his role as the emcee in the 1972 film version for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award.
