THE TOP 100 SONGS FROM MUSICALS. (#25). More: tomorrow.
Caffè Lattè presents:
THE
TOP 100 SONGS
FROM
MUSICALS
🎭
From New York’s Broadway and London’s West End to stages across the globe, Caffè Lattè has compiled a list of 100 of the best songs from stage shows. These are all songs created specifically for the stage productions and not theatrical versions of movies or jukebox musicals (eg. “The Lion King”, “Saturday Night Fever” or “Mamma Mia!” and “Jersey Boys”). They’ve touched us or made us cry and some have had us up on our feet dancing in the aisles.

SUMMER NIGHTS
Grease
Few musical numbers can instantly put a smile
on audience members’ faces like the catchy upbeat “Summer Nights”. The song is
sung from a female and male perspective. Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta
may have immortalized the number in the film version, but this song was a part
of the theatrical productions that preceded the box office hit. Other songs such as "You're The One That I Want", "Grease" and "Hopelessly Devoted To You" were created for the screen adaptation (and are therefore ineligible for this list).
