#610 SING IT BACK {Boris Dlugosch Remix} Moloko
Moloko was a British duo that consisted of Mark Brydon and lead singer Roisin Murphy. They formed in 1993. Around the same time, a romantic liaison began too. Their musical breakthrough was achieved via the 1997 dance track "Fun For Me". It reached #4 on the Billboard Dance Chart. "Day for Night" followed the year after.
Greater success welcomed 1999 single "Sing It Back". The track made #1 on the same Dance chart. A remix by Boris Dlugosch peaked at #4 in Britain. The song was written by
Moloko and the original 'I Am Not A Doctor' album version was produced
by the duo. Third album 'Things to Make and Do' was issued in 2000 and
featured Dlugosch's remix as a bonus track.
"The Time Is Now" proved a worthy follow-up, peaking at #2 in the UK. Around this time, the couple split. After releasing and promoting their new album 'Statues' in 2002, the 2 members decided to also cease working together.
