Although better known for his heavier material, "Little Wing" finds Jimi Hendrix exuding a more subtle and softer side to him. The legendary guitarist composed the song himself and it was included on his 1967 LP 'Axis: Bold as Love'.  Sadly, just 3 years later, he died in London, a casualty of his drug abuse. In death, his reputation as the greatest rock guitarist ever remains undiminished. There is no denying that Hendrix was a gifted performer and songwriter.
