Delta Dawn
Helen Reddy released "Delta Dawn" only 2 days prior to a version by Bette Midler. The former's single went on to top the American chart. in 1973. It was included on the Australian singer's album 'Long Hard Climb'.
Tanya Tucker issued the 1st version of the song 1 year before. Her interpretation was a Top 10 hit on the US Country Chart. It was the title track from its parent album.
