1989
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" was a massive international hit in 1988. The single was lifted off the duo's 'Sunshine On Leith' album. That LP also contained the infectious "I'm On My Way". Also written by the twin brothers, it only managed to score major chart success in Australia and New Zealand where the single peaked at #3 and 5 resoectively.

Trivia: Hot Chocolate's hit "So You Win Again" was penned by Russ Ballard and produced by Mickie Most. The latter had previously helmed pop classics such as: "I'm Into Something Good" (Herman's Hermits), "Sunshine Superman" (Donovan); "To Sir With Love" (Lulu) and "House Of the Rising Sun" (The Animals).

Trivia: British girl group Bananarama's members were fans of actors Al Pacino an Robert De Niro. The latter's name suited the song better and it was developed into a hit song. In 1984, the revered actor appeared in the films 'Once Upon A Time In America' and 'Falling In Love'. He was filming 'Brazil' at the time Bananarama recorded the song.
