In the 1970s, Barbra Streisand went for a more contemporary sound, rather than the show tunes that had dominated her output in the previous decade. "Stoney End" was a remake of a Laura Nyro composition. It was the title track from her Richsrd Perry-produced album unleashed in 1970.
