From these humble origins, Elvis influenced countless other white rockers and achieved sales that were unprecedented.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

The film ‘Viva Las Vegas’ cast Elvis opposite Ann-Margret. Its title song was created by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman especially for the motion picture. Although the single did not chart high, only reaching the Top 30 in America and the UK, it did make the Top 10 in various European countries, Australia and New Zealand. Today, it remains the most famous tribute to the city of gambling and casinos.
