12 POINTS FROM: Greece; Malta & Turkey.

Malta, Italy and the United Kingdom were given “douze points” by 4 countries, byt the Irish entry accumulated more points overall and was swept to victory.  Once again, the results favoured songs performed in English as the Irish, British and Maltese entries landed in the Top 3 positions. Johnny Logan, who had previously won as a performer, composed the winning song.
