OK COMPUTER:RADIOHEAD

 [1997]
Radiohead further evolved its sound on this simply beautiful album. In much the same way that Silverchair developed a new direction from grunge, here Radiohead strip back the guitars to create a fresh new approach. In many ways, 'OK Computer' marks a turning point for the English group. In fact, it is hard to believe that this collection of tracks arrived way back in 1997. The album would still sound impressive if dropped today. Thom Yorke's vocals demonstrate significant growth, ranging from a falsetto to a depth that is easily immersed into the music. Highlight tracks: 'No Surprises'; 'Let Down' & 'Karma Police'.
