TWIST MY ARM
Pointer Sisters
1986
The Pointer Sisters had enjoyed a string of hit singles in the early 1980s. By 1986, the momentum was slowing down. Only "Goldmine" cracked the US Top 40 that year; the final somg to do so for the trio. "Twist My Arm" deserved to perform well. It was a dance track in the same vein as previous hit "Dare Me" which had reached #11 in America and topped the Billboard Dance Chart in 1985. Both songs were included on the siblings' album 'Contact'.
