Representing Sweden at Eurovision is a hotly contested opportunity. Danny Saucedo had previously been a member of a boy band before launching a solo career. "Amazing" was his bid for the ESC. In the 2012 Swedish national finals, the song finished as the runner-up, behind Lorren's "Euphoria". The latter entry went on to win Eurovision that year. Saucedo's single peaked at #2 in his home country.
