⚪️In the late 1960s, Whitfield became the man at the deck on Motown #1 hits by Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and Edwin Starr. Once he left the label, he produced Rose Royce’s chart-topping disc “Car Wash”. Whitfield helped create some of the best examples of psychedelic soul.

Andy Gibb - I Just Want to Be Your Everything.jpgGuilty (single cover).jpg

🔲 Often collaborating with his brothers Robin and Maurice or with the team of Karl Richardson and Albhy Galuten, Barry Gibb was behind major #1s for The Bee Gees, Andy Gibb, Frankie Valli (“Grease”), Barbra Streisand (“Woman In Love”), Diana Ross (“Chain Reaction”) and a duet by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers (“Islands In The Stream”). Gibb's songwriting and production projects revitalized disco just as that genre was losing momentum, resulting in record-breaking sales for the 'Saturday Night Fever' film soundtrack. He helped reverse the trend, generating disco's most lucrative period.
