CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#492 CHASE Giorgio Moroder
Giorgio Moroder was 1 of the key architects of not only disco, but he has had an immense influence on dance music since that genre's halcyon days. He was born in Italy in 1940. He is best remembered for his work with Donna Summer and several movie projects. These have seen him work with the likes of Blondie, Freddie Mercury, Janis Ian, Phil Oakey, Irene Cara and David Bowie for films that include 'Scarface', 'American Gigolo', 'Metropolis', 'Top Gun', 'Foxes', 'Electric Dreams', 'The Never Ending Story' and ''Flashdance'.
"Chase" was the instrumental hit single from the 'Midnight Express' film soundtrack. The movie starred Brad Davis who was imprisoned in a Turkish prison until he escaped. Moroder won an Oscar in 1978 for this film score. "Chase" was a hit on the Disco Chart and peaked at #33 Pop in 1979. In Australia, the single climbed to #26.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
