These songs are well known but you may not know about the earlier attempts to score a hit record with prior versions of the same song.

It’s A Heartache

Bonnie Tyler reaced the Top 5 in America and Britain with "It's A Heartache". The single was issued in late 1977 and was included on her 'Natural Force' album in the following year.

Tyler's version came out shortly after the original recorded by country singer Juice Newton. Her interpretation was added to some foreign editions of her 1977 LP 'Come To Me'. The single went gold in Mexico in 1977. It was re-issued the following year in the U.S. where it only reached #86.
