In 1964, each country’s jury allocated 5, 3 and 1 points to their Top 3 songs. Both Luxembourg and the UK were awarded 5 points from 4 juries. Performed in French, France Gall’s victorious entry has a title that means “wax doll, rag doll”. It was composed by Serge Gainsbourg and was the first modern sounding ESC winner.
