Beginning in 1972 with ‘Talking Book’, Stevie released a series of classic albums that culminated with his epic ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’ LP. The latter contained this funky track.

WE CAN WORK IT OUT
1970
This remake of The Beatles classic song was included on Stevie’s 1970 album ‘Signed, Sealed & Delivered’. The following year, the track was lifted as a single. It peaked at #13 in America and #27 in the UK.

1995
This track from ‘Conversation Peace’ features Branford Marsalis on sax and Anita Baker on background vocals.

This ballad from ‘Hotter Than July’ has Stevie singing all of the vocals, Fender Rhodes, bass, synthesizer, drums and percussion.

AT LAST
1969
Stevie’s interpretation of the Etta James R&B tender love song is more upbeat and celebratory. The cover version is on his ‘My Cherie Amour’ album. In January 2012, he performed a tribute at the pioneering woman's funeral.
