TOPPER HEADON

The Clash drummer Topper Headon was described as “the human drum machine”. His playing was an integral part of the sound of the British punk group as it led the genre into novel directions. Sadly, his heroin addiction created tension within the band. Headon was dismissed from The Clash. His skill remains evident on tracks such as “Train In Vain (Stand By Me)”.
