"Strawberry Fields Forever" was principally created by John Lennon. It was issued as a double A-sided single with "Penny Lane". The disc topped the charts in Australia and Scandinavia. Paul McCartney was largely responsible for the latter. Both tracks were credited to the two principal songwriters within the group.
