TELL HER ABOUT IT

Billy had The Supremes on his mind when writing “Tell Her About It”. The song has a Motown beat to it and is as catchy as anything released by the Detroit label during the 1960s. In most markets, this was the lead single from ‘An Innocent Man’. As well as topping the US charts (Billy’s second single to reach the chart summit there), the disc was a Top 10 hit in the UK, Canada, Australia and South Africa. The song’s theme has Billy (in true Supremes style) offering relationship advice: “it’s good information from a man who’s made mistakes”.
