CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1541 CALIFORNIA SOUL Marlena Shaw
Motown writers Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson penned "California Soul". Marvin Gaye recorded it as a duet with the latter (though it was credited to Tammi Terrell) in 1969. Marlena Shaw improved on the song that year with her remake from 'The Spice of Life'.

#1542 SHE'S A MYSTERY GIRL Roy Orbison
"She's A Mystery To Me" remains 1 of the bext examples of the timeless quality of Roy Orbison as a singer and musician. Written by U2's Paul Hewson (Bono) and Dave Evans (the Edge), it was included on The Big O's 1989 album 'Mystery Girl'.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the Top 200 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
