CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1715 STAR TREKKIN' The Firm
Not to be confused with Jimmy Page's supergroup also known as The Firm; this novelty act enjoyed a fortnight at the top of the UK chart with a parody of the "Star Trek" TV series in 1987. The crazy enterprise was written and produced by Grahame Lister and John O'Connor.

#1716 COUNTING THE BEAT The Swingers
Lead vocalist Phil Judd was a founding member of New Zealand's Split Enz before forming The Swingers. 1981 saw the trio reach #1 in both Australia and NZ with the catchy pop hit "Counting The Beat". Songwriting credit was shared by all 3 members.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the remaining Top 100 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
