CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1753 HEAVEN Simply Red
Simply Red covered the Talking Heads track "Heaven" on its 1985 debut album 'Picture Book'. Lead singer Mick Hucknall's delicate and tempered vocal drew out the beauty of the ballad composed by David Byrne and Jerry Harrison for their own band's 1979 LP 'Fear Of Music'.

#1754 YOU ARE Lionel Richie
After solo debut hit "Truly", Lionel Richie released a more upbeat R&B love song from his 1982 self-titled album. The former member of The Commodores penned the song with his (then) wife Brenda Harvey Richie. It became his 2nd US solo Top 10 hit in 1983 and 2nd #1 on the AC chart.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the remaining Top 100 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
