Greatest Love Of All
Whitney Houston – The Greatest Love of All.jpg
One of the songs that will forever be associated with Whitney Houston is "Greatest Love Of All". This is for good reason. In 1986, it became her 3rd #1 on the US Hot 100. At the time, it was her longest running  chart topper. The single also reached #1 in Canada and Australia.
The song was penned by Michael Masser and Linda Creed. Houston recorded 4 Masser compositions on her 1985 debut album, including "Saving All My Love For You" and "All At Once".
In 1977, the original version was released by George Benson. Masser and Creed had composed the ballad for use in the biopic 'The Greatest', based on the life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The single made the Top 30 in America and the UK.
