Trivia: Although credited to the Turners, only Tina performed on "River Deep- Mountain High". Genius producer Phil Spector banned her husband Ike from the recording session. The disc is one of the best examples of his 'Wall of Sound' productions. Spector was shattered to see the single climb no higher than #88 in America and miss the R&B Chart altogether.
