Of all the songs that have finished in
last place, this is the one that most defies logic. It has a contemporary pop sound
that is upbeat and Tooji had the looks to sell “Stay”. Despite all of its
strengths, this Norwegian entry only accumulated 7 points, from The
Netherlands (3), Sweden (3) and Iceland (1). The song only scraped through in Semi- Final 2
which is a bad omen.
