THE INSPIRATIONS

THE SUPREMES
The golden goose that was the H-D-H songwriting team at Motown was growing dissatisfied with their income despite creating numerous hits for the Detroit label. As a result, the Holland brothers and Lamont Dozier embarked on a tactical slow-down. This chart hit was released around this time in 1968.

CRITERIA:
Songs by groups or duos that only include female members and released in the Rock Era (i.e. since 1955).
