Running at under 2 minutes, “The 59th Street Bridge Song” will always be better known by its subtitle “Feelin’ Groovy”. It was a fun detour included on ‘Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme’.

The closing track on ‘There Goes Rhymin’ Simon’ features backup vocals performed by The Dixie Hummingbirds. "Loves Me Like A Rock" topped the US adult Contemporary Chart and peaked at #2 Pop.

MOTHER AND CHILD REUNION

Simon went to Kingston, Jamaica to work on ‘Paul Simon’. The reggae he heard there inspired him. One of the fruits of his journey was the LP’s opening cut “Mother And Child Reunion”. The disc made the Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic.

Art Garfunkel – “All I Know” / “Mary Was An Only Child” Portuguese single  sleeve - Fonts In Use

Garfunkel outdoes himself on the delicate love song “All I Know”. The ballad was penned by Jimmy Webb and is found on ‘Angel Clare’. As well as enjoying a 4 week stay at #1 on the US AC chart, the single climbed to #9 on Billboard's Hot 100.

By 1977, Simon had accrued enough solo success to unleash a compilation album. ‘Greatest Hits, Etc.’ was preceded by a new single: “Slip Slidin’ Away”. The disc peaked at #5 in North America.
