A GUIDE TO THE ESC - Rotterdam. More tomorrow.

Everything You Need To Know About:

EUROVISION

2021

It’s 2021 and… Eurovision is back! The COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the 2020 Contest.

Europe’s favourite annual music event is set to start on May 18. Here’s a guide to how the Eurovision Song Contest works.

Location: Rotterdam

The Netherlands won Eurovision in 2019 with “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence. As a result, the 2020 Contest was scheduled to be held in Rotterdam, chosen as the host city in the victorious country. That event was cancelled, so this year’s ESC will be held in the same location. There will be strict rules to minimise the risk of spreading the coronavirus, including a cap on audience numbers in the Rotterdam Ahoy.
