Since the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest, 51 countries have competed in the annual event. This look back features each country in order of appearance and highlights that nation’s best entry so far.

2005
The 50th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in 2005. A record 39 countries competed in host city Kiev, including new participants Moldova and Bulgaria. Of the 2, only the former progressed to the Grand Final. Greece won on the night with “My Number One”.
