Jimmy Somerville was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1961. He was a founding member of the trio Bronski Beat. After scoring success with debut album 'Age Of Consent', he quit and formed The Communards. The duo was short-lived, with Somerville launching a solo career after 2 studio albums. "Heartbeat" was one of his chart hits, lifted off his 1995 LP 'Dare To Love'.
