THE LOOK Roxette

“The Look” introduced most record buyers around the planet to Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson. The duo had already scored hits in their native Sweden. “The Look” was, in fact, the fourth single off its second album ‘Look Sharp!’. Its instantly catchy hooks proved irresistible for the public. The single shot to the top of the charts in America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL ABBA

“The Winner Takes It All” showcases the vocal skill of Agnetha Fältskog. ABBA were masters of Europop, creating a songbook packed with upbeat and cheerful hits. Even the group’s harshest critics could not deny the power of this ballad which deals with the end of a relationship. Lyricist Bjorn Ulveaus and Fältskog had broken up. In this context, the track evokes even more emotion.
