ROCKETMAN

2019

The soundtrack for the biopic based on the life of Elton John is packed with hits by the legendary piano player. Taron Egerton who portrayed the rock star, bravely tackles the subject’s catalogue. The end result is a convincing and precise interpretation. Some tracks also feature other cast members, including Jamie Bell and Richard Madden. The LP closes with Egerton and John duetting on the Academy Award winner “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again”, the only new song; it sits comfortably alongside classics such as “I’m Still Standing”, “Tiny Dancer”, “Crocodile Rock” and “Your Song”.
