In 1986. George began to focus on the next phase of his career: as a soloist. He scored global smash hits duetting with Aretha Franklin and Elton John. Debut solo album ‘Faith’, issued in 1987, spawned no less than 4 US #1 singles. Next was ‘Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1’ dropped in 1990 and a UK No. 1; followed by the chart-topping ‘Older’ in 1996 from which 2 #1 singles were lifted and cover album ‘Songs From The Last Century’ 3 years later.

George entered the new millennium with a duet recorded with Whitney Houston, followed in 2004 by the album ‘Patience’.
