Hits recorded in German are a rarity in the English-speaking market, but Falco scored a worldwide smash with his "Rock Me Amadeus". The song was a tribute to classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In 1998, the Austrian performer was killed in a car accident. He was 40 years of age at the time of the tragedy.
