HELLO, DOLLY!

Hello, Dolly!

 This Jerry Herman musical was based on a 1955 play entitled “The Matchmaker”. The title character is Dolly Levi. Carol Channing starred in the original Broadway cast in 1964. The production scooped up 10 Tonys, including Best Musical and Actress (for Channing). A 1969 film version starring Barbra Streisand won 3 Oscars.
