MUSIC ACROSS THE OLYMPIADS. Today: 2024 (Conclusion).
As the world’s elite athletes compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Caffè Lattè will focus on the best music that emerged during each Olympiad. Each period considers songs from the years prior to the new Games.
MUSIC ACROSS THE OLYMPIADS
The Olympics were back to normal this year with spectators accessing events after the precautionary measures implemented for the Tokyo Games held in 2021. For the first time, there was a three-year gap between the two events. Paris played host city for the third time, 100 years after it last held The Games back in 1924. Only the French capital and London, England have hosted The Olympics three times. Los Angeles will join this elite group in 2028. Paris staged a spectacular Opening Ceremony along the River Seine.
Among the hottest chart acts in this Olympiad were: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and Harry Styles.
