Trivia:

Members of the Clash considered "Train In Vain" too commercial so included it as a hidden track at the end of its influential 1979 'London Calling' album. In the US, this was the catchy pop hit that the punk/ new wave group needed to attract an audience. Retitled "Train In Vain (Stand By Me)", the track became the band's first to crack the American Top 30 when issued as a single in 1980.
