"Here We Go" was the 2nd single off the C+C Music Factory album 'Gonna Make You Sweat', released in 1990. The single swiftly became a dance hit as well as crossing over to the pop mainstream. In the USA, the track peaked at #3 Pop, #1 Dance and #7 R&B/Hip Hop. It was written by Robert Clivilles with rapper Freedom Williams. The latter namechecks rock legends such as Bo Diddley, The Who, The Jackson 5, B.B King, The Doors and The Rolling Stones. Clivilles co-produced the recording with David Cole, who passed away in 1995 of spinal menangitis. His death inspired Mariah Carey, who had many hits produced by Clivilles & Cole, to write a song which would later evolve into "One Sweet Day", a very successful collaboration with Boyz II Men.
