Trivia:

The original incarnation of Dawn recorded the first take of "Candida", but Bell Records remained unimpressed with the lead singer. Producers Hank Medress and Dave Appell asked Tony Orlando to record a new vocal for the track. He agreed and expected the cut to go nowhere. To his surprise, the song became a hit. A new 'Dawn' was recruited that teamed Orlando up with Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson. More hits ensued.
