Best remembered for his 1970 #1 smash hit "War", Edwin Starr first cracked the UK Top 40 four years prior with "Stop Her On Sight (S.O.S.)". Although the single stalled at #48 Pop in America, the disc did peak at #9 on the R&B chart.
