When The Beatles called it a day in 1970, the future looked promising for the solo ventures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and even George Harrison. The remaining ex- Beatle- Ringo Starr- had the more uncertain future. He had not contributed to the group's prolific legacy of songs in any significant way. But, Starr launched his post- Beatles solo career with some chart hits. The biggest was "Photograph", a global hit he co-wrote with Harrison for his 1973 album simply entitled 'Ringo'.
