ABBEY ROAD: THE BEATLES
The cover of Abbey Road has no printed words. It is a photo of the Beatles, in side view, crossing the street in single file.
 [1969]
Although 'Let It Be' was issued after 'Abbey Road', the latter was in fact the final album recorded by The Beatles. As the band began to disintegrate, the members were still delivering high quality tracks. The most notable growth is evident in George Harrison's 2 contributions: "Here Comes The Sun" and the sublime ballad "Something". Paul McCartney offered the great "Oh! Darling". John Lennon skilfully brought another album highlight in "Come Together". Even Ringo Star penned a fun song: "Octopus's Garden". Side Two of the LP is largely made up of a medley of songs that include another gem in The Fab Four's songbook: "Golden Slumbers". Highlight tracks: Something; Golden Slumbers & Here Comes The Sun.
