In 1962, Germany was represented by a catchy sing-a-long entry which translated as "2 Little Italians". Conny Froboess performed the number in German. By the end of the night, the song finished in 6th place out of 16 competitors. Various versions in other languages were released following the Eurovision Song Contest that year. The English version was entitled "Gino" and was recorded by Froboess.
