STAYIN' ALIVE
Bee Gees [1977]
Just as disco was losing momentum, The Bee Gees unleashed "Stayin' Alive". The single - lifted off the soundtrack from the film 'Saturday Night Fever'- reversed the downward trend. Disco was resuscitated and returned with greater vigour than before. The Gibb brothers were soon dominating the record charts with their own hits as well as creating #1s for others such as Yvonne Elliman and Andy Gibb.
